Most of the people, here at dcphosting services, have flash disabled in their browsers primarily because of the performance hit which slows the computers when viewing flash (and others because of [past?] security problems). Reasons we don't like about using Flash are: 1) The size of the image package is huge, 2) The code produced is ugly, 3) Replacing text with graphics works against search engine optimization, 4) Animated Flash requires significant viewer resources, and 4) Flash requires use of proprietary software.

Are we hypocrites? Maybe. If you want Flash, honestly, we'll be happy to sell you all the templates you desire to buy. If you want us to style and layout a site using Flash, your money is green. One really big reason to use Flash* is that it looks great. (*We are actually referencing Flash in the singular whereas there is actually site building software and animation software.) You already read above about what we feel are it's main drawbacks. So why do we really have it listed here?
