• When emailing on behalf of another entity purge their "do not email" listings from your mailings.
• One can not just "add names" to a list and blast the people with emails.
  • One-time mailings to the customer base is allowed within 18 months of last transaction for a general mailing.
  • Use true opt-in verses auto-in.
    • Require people to specifically sign-up and confirm their subscription
    • Avoid fine print or TOC requiring a newsletter subscription
    • Watch out for those who sell email lists as they are not always on the up and up.
